Kimama’s Wings Synopsis

In a touching narrative set in San Francisco, 7-year-old Vicky, an African American girl, and her Japanese American sister Becca face upheaval after their father Joe dies from cancer. Their mother Aiya struggles to keep the family together as they consider relocating to Joe’s estranged father’s ranch in Washington. Initial visits reveal both challenges, including Buzz’s bigotry, and unexpected joys through new friendships. With the guidance of a Native American horse whisperer named Kimama, Vicky discovers healing, leading the family towards peace and connection.
